The roots of Kickboxing can be traced back to Asia 2000 years ago. Modern competitive Kickboxing gained popularity in the 1970s when American karate experts organized tournaments allowing full-contact strikes, which were not permitted in traditional karate competitions. Taekwondo, on the other hand, originates from present-day Korea and has a history of over 2000 years. In the early 20th century, the Japanese tried to suppress all elements of Korean culture, but Taekwondo masters secretly nurtured the art. Taekwondo, in its essence, is an unarmed combat system designed for self-defense. In the literal translation, Tae means “foot,” Kwon means “hand,” and Do means “way” or “art.” Slovenia boasts numerous top-level athletes in both sports, recognized for their outstanding skills and athleticism. Our kickboxing and Taekwondo competitors have won medals in various European and world championships. At our facility, we offer training sessions led by experienced coaches. These sessions will help clear your mind and teach you to listen to your body. We provide guidance on proper nutrition, suitable dietary supplements, and instructions on how to approach other sports correctly. Muay Thai is a martial art that involves both hand and leg techniques, targeting various parts of the body. Elbows and knees are also allowed in this form of combat. Technique is highly emphasized during Muay Thai training, involving partner drills, focus mitts, and punching bags. Age and gender are not limitations; the only limitation lies in one’s mindset, which can also be overcome.
